First Day of school....a little late...I know!!!

I may be one of the worlds worst bloggers. I love to read others blogs but then don't take the time to update mine. So I will try to be better. We are very busy with the new school year and LOVING it!!!

I have really tried as a mother to enjoy each stage of my children's lives, knowing that each stage passes so quickly. I remember when the triplets were babies having to remind myself of that EVERYDAY!!! I would tell myself...someday you will miss this, someday you will miss this...There are things I do miss about them being so little, changing diapers isn't one of them :)

I must say this stage of our life is SO MUCH FUN!!! I rarely have to chant my "you will miss this" saying (only when they get in wrestling matches) The triplets are in 2nd grade and having a great time so far. Steven is in 5th and Tyler is a freshman....much taller than me now....I am lucky to have all these boys in my life :)

Gunlock

Every year for the 4th of July Danny's family goes to Gunlock. It is a quaint little town about 18 miles from St. George. We have a lot of fun family memories there. This year was no exception. We had a GREAT time celebrating our National Holiday with boating, parade, fireworks and of course the Gunlock Rodeo. My mom and dad joined us this year and my Dad and Tyler installed a zip line that was a HIT!!! The kids zip lined for hours and hours. What a fun time!!

My "babies" are 7!!!

I can't believe how they have grown. I looked at them sitting in church today and remembered the first time we brought them to church me carrying one car seat and Danny carrying two...wasn't that LAST SUNDAY???? When they were born we called them the "babies". When they were 3 they weren't really "babies" anymore so we started calling them the "little boys". Now they are turning into boys, not even little boys anymore, and before I know it they will be big boys, then MEN!!!
How thankful I am I get to be there mother.
Tanner-the oldest, I teased him the other day and said that Cole was really the oldest and we had been teasing him all these years...he started crying, he didn't think that was funny AT ALL!! He takes his role as oldest and lead triplet very seriously. Tanner almost always has a smile on his face...it is hard to be sad when Tanner is around.
Brandon-the middle boy. He is so independent. The first one awake, the first to finish his chores, the first to find a friend to play with. He likes being a triplet at more of a distance :)
Cole- My sweet youngest boy....Always so concerned of others feelings, especially Mom's. If you are having a bad day, look into Cole's eyes and everything seems a little sweeter.
Happy Birthday boys!!! I love you.

17 years and counting....

June 19, 1993...what a wonderful day. Looking back over the past 17 years is amazing. I remember sitting in a college geography class, in 1993 so bored, so my friend Stacey and I started planning out our lives. Danny and I were newly married so it was fun to dream what our life together would be like. I am a planner by nature, I love to have a plan so I thought it was a great idea. I wrote down what month and year I would have each of our 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl). When we would move, and where we would live. So many major events in our life. I thought I had a WONDERFUL plan...it looked great on paper. Looking back on that plan now, I realize something...not ONE thing on that list came to pass. LOL

Something else I realize is that the plan the Lord had for Danny and my life together has been even greater than I could have dreamed. I am not saying that the past 17 years have been perfect, but they have been an amazing journey with such happiness and joy I couldn't have imagined. No, I didn't have 5 boys...especially TRIPLET boys on my life plan, but I wouldn't change anything about my actual life. I am so blessed and thankful that 17 years ago I married my best friend and we have 5 amazing boys to share our life with.

SUMMER!!!!

As Danny likes to say to me..."SUMMER IS YOUR SEASON!!" Yes, summer is indeed MY season. I love it!!! I spent the day at the pool yesterday with various friends and family and it was like heaven!!! I think that will be the difference between heaven and hell, they will both be warm but in heaven there will be a pool to layout by :)

I am feeling very guilty that my last post was about the first day of school and now it is the beginning of summer so I am really going to TRY to be a better blogger :)

I may randomly update with events from the school year since we did have a lot of fun this year.

The triplets finished first grade which I still can't believe they are that old, but they LOVED it and LOVED their teacher. Steven also had a great year in 4th. I rewarded Tyler with a shopping trip for a new pair of shoes for his straight A's and he picked out sperry top siders...I said, you know your dad wore those same shoes when he was your age...CRAZY!!! So now, we are ready for a fabulous summer of sunning, swimming and sports...
